Restaurants should be graded on the cost of the meal and because this place is really cheap but after several visits this place falls into the OK category. The food waivers between decent and pretty good but unfortunately decent comes up more than pretty good. If you have the munchies and not a lot of dough, this place is a 4 star place. Any other time 3 stars.

Best chimichangas around small place but great authentic food. You can change beef tacos to chicken too asked for their house or special hot sauce.

I eat here once a week. Hands down the best tacos in town. 5.99 gets you 6 soft tacos or 8 hardshell. The place is always clean & the portion sizes are always more than adequate. Everything is fresh & tastes more authentic than even some high end mexican restaurants. I wish I could rate this place higher...I love their food!!

Not bad taco joint. Most of the time the different meats are well prepared but never as fully flavored as I am used to. Chorizo and egg burrito was much more egg than chorizo which was a little disappointing. I usually just go there for some crispy hot dulce de leche filled churros for dessert.

As a previous reviewer said...authentic Mexican fare in Cape Coral...YES! The refried beans were always fresh (not that thick mess you sometimes get with Mexican food). I had the Chile Rellenos and they were fabulous. On a previous occasion I had the Burito Supreme that was good to but by far the Chile Rellenos were my favorite. I would definitely see myself coming her again.

Very good Mexican place to eat! It never disappoints and we have tried many different things on the menu. It's very cheap too for the quality of the food!

Well a new year and a new try. Yes this place sucks when it comes to burritos. I am from San Francisco,CA. Home of the creation of the burrito. Created in the Mission district. This is a wannbe Taco Bell. I order the Burrito Supreme $4.99. Only ground beef for a meat plus lettuce is served on it. Both item are so wrong. It was a 8 inch flour tortilla with more tortilla than ingredients. A small portion of meat some refried beans. A squirt of sour cream and too much tomatoes. I made a special request of DOUBLE EXTRA PEPPERS. THEY FRACKING DO NOT KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS. I barely saw any or tasted any peppers. And they charge me for it. People are nice it was quick. Also had the daily special of 2 soft taco $1.79 SUCKS I will not be going back. But I know it will in business because Floridans are idiots

Perhaps the worst Mexican food I've ever had! The staff was friendly, but I'll never go back. We ordered Fajita and chicken (fajitas and enchilads). The beef was like chewing leather and lacked Mexican seasoning. The chicken was bland and those who ate it had stomach problems shortly there after.

Love this place, the food is usually spot on, daily specials are great. The people are always very nice and the food come out hot and fast. If you like it spicy ask for the homemade hot sauce. I usually eat here at least once a week if not more. Too hard to pick a favorite menu item but always finish it off with a churro.

  • Dee S.

I love this taco place! It's close by, yummy food, reasonable prices, soooooo much better than chains like taco bell. I grab food here at least once a week, usually the 6 tacos for $5, but I've tried other menu items too- it's all good. We also like the Mexican sodas and horchata ( ask for it).

  • Nick D.

Was here a week or so ago. The meat in the steak taco was a little like trying to eat rubber ball bearings. Everything else was good. Service was good too. I'll be back, but I may stay away from anything carne asada.

  • Charlee W.

Authentic Mexican in Cape Coral--yes!!! We went for lunch, on a weekday, and the place was PACKED--that says something. They have different specials every day. I got the taco salad--their guacamole was perfect. My friend got the taco special--8 tacos for $5.99. Everything was delicious. We'll be back!

I tried this place for the first time this past weekend. I ordered a chicken chimichanga. The service was blazing fast, the food presentation looked amazing but once I bit in they fell a bit short. The food was not bad but slightly bland really. I was expecting more flavor. Also the soda tastes a little strange. Not bad, just different. All in all its not a bad place. I might try the taco special next time to see if I have better luck

  • Nicholas S.

Love this place. Can't ask for more; Great prices, great food, and its always ready in 5 mins.

  • Adam C.

This is a cute little taco joint. While the menu does offer some fancier fare, my favorite thing on the menu is is the basic beef taco. They frequently offer specials where you can get these in varying quantities for a little less than the standard price. They also sell breakfast burritos. When I found this out I was quite excited to return one day for breakfast. Alas they don't open until 10 which is not helpful when you want to grab a quick breakfast burrito on the way to work. Oh well. I had one on my day off and it was still yummy.

  • Victor L.

I have to totally agree with another reviewer on here. The food was quick and looked good but was very bland and not much flavor. My chips were actually quite stale as well. But that was the last time I went. I have been a couple of times. I believe in giving a local business a second chance.

  • Miguel R.

After tasting the food in this place, it's safe to say that I will not be going back to a Taco Bell as long as this place is still open. I ordered the 6 soft tacos special, I was impressed. Good flavor. I'm looking forward to my next visit. Can't complain about the prices either. Very fast service as well.

  • Megan S.

AWFUL! the cheese dip was from a can and tasted like it came from a gas station. The chicken in the taco and quesadilla was most definitely from a pre cooked package. I am not usually a picky person but seriously taco bell would have been better than this. Please don't waste your time.

    (1)
  • Kyle N.

Great specials, good fast service, everything taste amazing. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the fountain soda tastes a little off I've mentioned it to them before but I'm probably the only one. They also serve beer which is always a plus.

  • Skyler D.

Awesome traditional dishes as well as your classic Tex-Mex items. Wife loves the simple ground beef tacos and I love the more traditional items. Try the Tostada, Sopa, Mole or traditional tacos like Carnitas and Al Pastor!

  • Jaci L.

Yuck. That's all I have to say about the food $30 dollars later. The service was weird, the girl who took our order was sweet but the employee on her break, arguing and cursing on her phone with her "boyfriend" having a full blown argument with my four year old sitting right next to me made me so upset. We just walked out. Don't waste your time or money. Trust me!

  • Kris M.

I had high hopes, but was quickly disappointed. I ordered chicken enchiladas. They were fresh but very bland. I also ordered guacamole and chips. The guacamole was served on a bed of lettuce, with very little guacamole (but lots of extra lettuce for your chips). Again, the guacamole was bland. Overall the price is very cheap, but for the price you are sacrificing any flavor.

  • Curt W.

Where was my wow? Fajitas weren't wrapped so they were soggy. Burritos were "OK". Overall it didn't really do anything for us.

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.
